Picked up some thyroid tablets for George today, this rate I will have no fingers left at all!
Usually thyroid problems give a ravenous appetite, which George does not have, so we are doing a lot of close monitoring to ensure the new tablets do not further depress his already depressed appetite.
All his symptoms do not correspond to anything the vet found, so we still aren't sure which is causing which, so treatment is difficult, to say the least! _________________ problems are solutions waiting to be found.

I do hope they find out what the problem is Jean, it is so
costly for you going to the Vet's etc.

Back to the vet with George today.......................he's put on some weight
Not a lot, but we are going in the right direction
He's also a lot brighter in himself, so we are going on as we are and back in 10 days for another blood test to see how his thyroid is responding.
The vet says he's in no pain and happy enough, but it's probable that because of his age all his problems are age related, so we are going for nothing invasive, just treat the symptoms and keep him happy and pain free. _________________ problems are solutions waiting to be found.

George had a blood test last Friday (and a weigh, lost a little weight again!
and we got the results through today.
Everything is looking good, so we are keeping as we are.
Actually he likes the vet and I don't have to struggle to get him in the carrier anymore........or get him out at the other end, but he would no doubt be relieved to know he doesn't have to go again this week _________________ problems are solutions waiting to be found.
